About Me
Hello, my name is Bernardo and I’m a Sacramento tennis coach with over 19 years of playing experience and over 7 years of teaching experience! I started playing tennis in Brazil 19 years ago when I was only 7. I got to play a lot of junior tournaments and ITF’s (International Tennis Federation) and was a top ranked junior player back in Brazil.
After juniors, I then came to America in 2015 to play college tennis. I graduated from Sacramento State University in 2019 (I played on the tennis team for two years during my junior and senior years). I was the Captain of my team. Before transferring to Sac State, I played 2 years for Holy Names University which is a ranked Division II team and played #1 in both singles and doubles.
My coaching experience began when I started my college career-I coached junior players and also my teammates. Currently, I also coach kids at tennis camps and provide private and group lessons and hitting sessions at public courts.
I can help you develop your shots, your game and share a little about my own experience on court. I played at a high level and I know what it takes to improve your tennis level.
Teaching Style
I like working on technique, consistency, tactics and strategy. It is important to develop the basic shots to be able to play tennis. Depending on your level and your goals, I will adapt the lesson to bring the best result to you.
