About Me
I am a former professional tennis player with experience competing at the highest levels of the sport. I played Division I tennis at Duke University and was a 4x All American and National Champion. Prior to college I competed on the professional tour where I achieved a career-high WTA singles ranking inside the top 200 and competed in Grand Slam events as well as ITF and WTA tournaments worldwide. I was the former Yale women's tennis assistant coach and have been teaching all levels for the last 10 years.
Training and competing at this level gave me a deep understanding of technique, strategy, mental toughness, and match preparation. I now enjoy sharing that knowledge and helping players of all levels build confidence, improve their skills, and develop a lifelong love for the game.
Teaching Style
My teaching style is relaxed, encouraging, and tailored to each player. I focus on strong fundamentals, smart strategy, and building confidence, all while keeping lessons fun and engaging. I meet players where they are in their tennis journey and adjust each lesson to their goals and learning style.
Lessons are structured but never rigid—usually starting with a quick warm-up, followed by focused drills and plenty of live-ball play so skills translate to real matches. I believe players learn best when they’re enjoying themselves, feeling supported, and challenged just the right amount.
