About Me
I am originally from Australia. I moved to the USA to play college tennis at TCU. I was an NCAA Finalist in doubles in 1996 and went on to play professional tennis from 1998 - 2012. In doubles I was a semi-finalist at the US Open, Quarter finalist at both Wimbledon and the Australian Open. I coached multiple doubles slam winners as well as a top 50 singles player. I am now the Head Men's Tennis Coach the the University of South Florida. Tennis has been the gift that keeps giving and I owe so much to the sport. I love to play still and am passionate about teaching.
Teaching Style
First part of the lesson will be an evaluation of technical skills. I believe in not over coaching and working on too many things. I ask players what do they feel they need to improve or what their goals are. Some people just want to get a workout and have fun others are happy to hit the same shot 200 times in order to work on improved muscle memory. I'm excellent at teaching doubles skills and also helping singles players play with discipline while learning which balls they should be attacking. I want the lessons to be high energy, fun and engaging. I want players who have a growth mindset and ask questions.
