About Me

Hi, my name is Allen. I have been playing regularly for 6 years started as a beginner at age 60, and by my third year I went to USTA Nationals and placed in the top 3 for my class players. I now play 5-10 times per week help assemble, coach and play on several teams. I run clinics with individuals, small groups, and teams.

Teaching Style

There are two places where you make or lose the most points, Serving, and Receiving, these two areas are fundamental and skipped by a lot of coaches who just want to toss balls and hit. Next is court positioning, or not being out of position, this is footwork, and anticipation, know the opponents hitting habits and their positioning. Then its all about the hand/eye coordination, muscle memory, and having the right grip, racket positions, and this is backed up by more footwork.
