About Me
Hi, my name is Adrian. I learned the classic style of the California hard courts, using a continental grips on my ground strokes and a one handed backhand. I have grown to teach the modern grips of the western and open stance footwork but still employ the serve and volley strategies to all my students. I came to Santa Barbara after college and then became the director of tennis at the Ojai Valley Racket Club for ten years. My top students went UCLA, USC, Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and UCSB. After leaving Ojai to accept the director of tennis at the Cathedral Oaks Racquet Club, I blossomed as a mentor to some of the top players in the nation. My students were awarded scholarships from Berkeley, Stanford, UCLA, USC, Northwestern, Ohio State, Oregon, Arizona, Arizona State, Vanderbilt, and many other colleges. My current students are some of the top players in the country. I enjoy teaching the game at any level, and to all people who wish to become better at the game. My Strengths are being able to give a student a game that suits their personality, mental strength and tennis IQ.
Teaching Style
I teach all-court play.
