About Me
Hi, my name is Scott. I began playing at age 8 in my hometown of Yorktown, Va. I took extensive lessons from 2 coaches, Bill Shiver and Brent Hughes through the age of 18. I began playing junior tournaments in Virginia then throughout the Mid Atlantic (MATA) at age 12 and achieved a ranking in each age group.
Teaching Style
I began teaching junior clinics and private lessons at age 15 and spent between 25 and 30 hours/week on the court. I taught both adult and junior private lessons throughout college then moved to Orlando in 1991 and began teaching for Disney at the Contemporary Resort (summer junior clinics, private lessons and hitting/playing lessons). Also, I taught private lessons and hitting lessons for several resorts on International Drive in Orlando. Each lesson is dictated by the needs and wants of the student in conjunction with their talent level, ability to move, etc. I am proficient at adapting each lesson to the students’ expectation and need.
