About Me

Hi, my name is Robert. USNTA & USPTR Certified Approved (Schools That Teach You How To Teach). Certified Disable: (Tourette, Asperger, ADHD, etcetera) and also, an USTA Official for the state of Texas. I consider myself a "Supportive, Presentational Coach", making a empathic connection with my students and at the same time taking a scientific, pragmatic approach in teaching, resulting in what is seen with the top 10 players in the world. How I "present it" to the student has a lot to do with their successful tennis pedagogy. Teaching tennis is my only profession; which makes it: 100% effort, not because of necessity, because of passion. Unlike other pros, it's their second job.
☆ Good Role Model; I don't believe I can send my message across of being a good Athletic Sportsman, if I was overweight & not fluent in English & an angry bully on the court. I'm none of these things. I am, what I teach, an athletic sportsman-ˌlike tennis player
☆ I'm a morale booster, I teach encouragingly, and one of the few that teaches Mental Strength Tennis. Making it a pressure-free lesson and competitive game
☆ I teach to utilize the entire body, the upshot of an injury-free, purposeful and productive tennis game
☆ I Specializes in Teaching the Disabled and All Ages: 4 years old to 84
☆ Formally, a Money Playing Tennis Professional
☆ Ranked in the Top 25 (Juniors & Adults) in the State of Texas
☆ I will always Rally with Students (even if student started Today)!
☆ I can sustain a Rally of 300 Strokes & more with One Ball with Students

Teaching Style

My teaching style, is that I follow a formula, my own formula of documenting every lesson from beginner to advance player. Making every lesson very realistic, like a tennis match. Start with the form of every stroke the student has and maybe adding specialty strokes. "I don't believe you can build a great house (a great tennis game) with a poor hammer (a poor stroke)!". If I feel the strokes are incorrect, I will make the strokes biomechanically correct, to fit the body for it's maximum performance. I will always rally with the student (I don't really feed from the top of the net) making every drill like a top-notch point. Starting with teaching every student good form, documenting every lesson, putting them in different drills, simulating real points to the last point and most importantly teaching the student the mental strength to getting each point done.

Robert is good coach. He is very particular about theory of tennis and details. He cares about each student, you can feel it during the tennis session. He also provides some videos to get better idea of certain things and see it in slow mode. He can teach you from the beginning or can help you to improve certain skills, like back hand or serve. I like to work with him.
