Hey, my name is Jose I have 8 years of experience playing competitive tennis and 4 years of experience teaching it. I have a USTA ranking of 5.0 which helps me prepare and provide consistency in playing with higher-level clients. I have taught in tennis centers in San Diego and in the Bay. I also teach tennis in different after-school programs around San Francisco.
Teaching Style
My teaching style emphasizes both technique, building a point, and proper footwork. I provide a range of physical fitness mixed with making adjustments to not only the technique of the swing but also player positioning. When doing drills I do not just feed the balls in the same place and try to do back-and-forth movements. I teach players to construct points instead of just trying to just get the ball back. Depending on the level of my client I will adjust how the class is run. No two people play the same so classes have to be tailored.
