Hi, my name is Luis. I am a father of three children and my first tennis teaching position was teaching kids, it comes natural. I have coached juniors into the top 20 in their age category, and plenty of adults that want to find an excellent way to stay in shape while building friendships or have that competitive bug to challenge their colleagues.

I have had the benefit of working at some prominent tennis clubs, creating a collaborative learning experience with my peers at Sea Cliff Tennis Club, Club Sport Fremont, Valley Vista Tennis Club, and The Bay Club to mention a few. I enjoy now the ability to bring my love of the game to all players in and outside of the tennis clubs.

I have a ritual of always starting my lessons with a light warm up so that the body gets warm but not tired. The goal is to prevent injuries always and focus our time on hitting a lot of balls with proper technique. I place strong importance in proper stroke production in order to prevent injuries in the long run, and I am also flexible enough to realize some past injuries can prevent some execution and need a modified stroke. The key is to be in tennis for a lifetime for health and the incredible social circles it creates.

I like to see a student progress when learning the topspin forehand or teaching one or two hand backhand and watching the satisfaction. The realization when they know they can play with a lot of players they thought they might not have been at their level. I also love teaching the volley to non-doubles fans as well as the strategy involved in probability of opponents shot selection.
