About Me

Hello everyone! I have been playing competitive tennis since childhood. As a USTA 4.5, member of the University of Pennsylvania’s club tennis team, and active lefty player in recreational and competitive leagues from Virginia up to Pennsylvania, I have had a wide breath of playing and teaching experience. Internationally, in Buenos Aires, Argentina, I taught all-Spanish lessons to junior, adult, and senior beginner’s, as well as group clinics for juniors focused on stroke development, consistency, and more. Domestically, I have been a freelance instructor for beginners and intermediate players, focusing on patterns for competitive play and how to put technique into action. Off the tennis court, I’m a junior at the University of Pennsylvania pursuing a Bachelor’s in two majors-English and International Relations. In my free time, I enjoy exploring the Philly art scene, working out, and painting! I hope to see you on the court!

Teaching Style

When teaching beginner’s, the most important part of the game is the technical component. Without a strong foundation and a good understanding of how the sport works, it is difficult to develop a game that will last as one matures. However, there are so many ways to make technical development fun and engaging.

For one-hour lessons, I like to do a mix of technique and application. So, usually what this looks like is starting with some “mini tennis” to warm up strokes, moving back to the baseline (the back of the court, for all the tennis newbies!), and doing some drills to get a little more on-the-fly movement. A lot of beginners develop great strokes, but if you don’t know how to use them when you have to move your feet, then your game won’t be able to develop. When we get into drills, you will get some fun cardio in! :) In lessons of two or more, we’ll play some king of the court, skyball, ping pong, and more, all drills that help you practice your strokes but make it exciting. Usually with one player, I’ll focus on cross-court hitting for part of the lesson and your net game.

As my first tennis coach, Chloe made our lessons really fun, special, and informative! Not only did I learn technique, but she taught in a really great and exciting way that made me want to continue learning. 10/10, would recommend!
