About Me
Tennis has been part of my life since I was 5. I started coaching at 16 with Lifetime Tennis and never looked back. I played competitively through Kennedy Middle School, Monta Vista High, De Anza College, and earned a grant to play at the University of Redlands — where I also started a tennis program for underprivileged youth in the San Bernardino area.
Currently, I coach at Fruttero Tennis Academy in the feeder program for Harker and help run our Junior Team Tennis (JTT) program. I'm also the Head Tennis Pro for the boys’ and girls’ teams at Archbishop Mitty High School and Lead Tennis Coach at Lifetime Activities Cupertino.
My coaching style is strong yet supportive — I believe in pushing athletes to reach their potential while understanding that everyone grows at their own pace. I focus heavily on athleticism, footwork and sound mechanics, whether you're just learning the game or looking to compete at a higher level. Every session is designed to challenge you, build confidence, and more importantly, make the game fun.
I’ve worked with a wide range of players and can provide testimonials from students and families who’ve seen real growth and results.
Teaching Style
Every session kicks off with dynamic warm-ups to get your body sharp and your mind locked in. From there, we dive into a mix of drills, live hitting, and point play — always tailored to the players goals, whether that’s fine-tuning mechanics, building confidence or getting match-ready.
We wrap up with high-energy footwork work, built to boost your movement, endurance and court awareness. No two lessons are the same — I keep things fresh, focused and fully customized. I bring structure, intensity and a supportive vibe to every session. You’ll work hard, get better and more importantly — enjoy the process.

He is the ONE! Amir completely changed my mentality and how I think on the court — in short, he taught me how to play smart and win points. I had been playing tennis for about 2.5 years before meeting him. In just four months of working together, my groundstrokes improved dramatically, and I learned how to volley and serve. But more importantly, he taught me how to read the game and position myself effectively — which, in my opinion, is the most valuable skill in tennis. He’s incredibly helpful, and I highly recommend him to anyone who wants to level up their game — not just hit balls.
Coach Amir is very good for kids and adults. My son started with Coach Amir when he was 8 years old and just learning tennis. Now he is 10 and already playing green dot level. Before, he was red ball. He is more confident now, and he enjoys playing. Coach Amir teaches him how to move, how to think, and how to be strong but calm on the court. I also take lessons with Coach Amir. He explains things clearly and helps me improve my technique and footwork. He is patient and always watches the details. I learn something new every time. We are very thankful to have Coach Amir as our coach.
Amir is a very experienced tennis coach, who is patient, encouraging and skilled at giving good directions. He has been coaching my daughter for a few years at both clinics and private lessons. My daughter always appreciates Amir’s sound advice about technique, as well as his sense of humor and calm demeanor. Now she plays for her high school team, and continues to benefit from Amir’s coaching at private lessons. Amir is knowledgeable, reliable, and motivates players to do their best. I truly recommend him as a teaching pro to improve your tennis game.
