About Me
I’ve been coaching tennis professionally for over three decades and have worked with players of all ages and skill levels, from complete beginners to high-performance athletes. Throughout my career, I’ve coached at private clubs and elite tennis academies, but have primarily built and taught my own private client base, helping players improve their technique, movement, confidence, and enjoyment of the game.
For many years I coached between the Hamptons and Miami, and I now bring that experience to Los Angeles.
My teaching is rooted in an approach I call Somatic Tennis, which combines healthy, modern tennis mechanics with an understanding of how the body naturally learns and moves. Rather than forcing technique, I help players discover efficient movement patterns, improve body awareness, and learn to work with their bodies instead of against them. This leads to faster improvement, greater consistency, increased easy power, and a more enjoyable experience on the court.
I tailor each lesson to your individual needs and learning style. My goal is to help every student play with greater ease and freedom while building a game that is both effective and sustainable. 🎾
Teaching Style
My teaching style draws on over 30 years of full-time professional coaching experience, combined with a background in yoga, somatic movement, anatomy and physiology, breathwork, Chi Gong, and a deep study of modern tennis mechanics. I integrate these disciplines with a strong intuitive ability to sense what each player is experiencing on the court.
Lessons are relaxed, personalized, and focused on helping you build skills that last. Rather than chasing quick fixes, I emphasize mastering each step of the learning process, developing a strong connection to your body, and learning how to access a state of flow where the game becomes more natural, efficient, and enjoyable.

Excellent coach - very relaxed but made sure I came away with a couple of really important things to work on
My friends and I are doing high intensity cardio tennis with Alessandro and it’s a blast! I have learned how to create way more power and control in an effortless way. Thank You Alessandro!
Amazing lesson!!!
What an amazing tennis lesson! I highly recommend Alessandro for any age or level, especially for any one coming back to tennis after an injury. A lesson with Ali is definitely money well spent. He is the Yogi of Tennis and brings his Nameste into your tennis swing. He can teach you how to hit with a pain free flow!
Alessandro has an incredibly intuitive and natural swing on both sides, and a one-handed backhand that is the closest to Federer that you will ever play against. So to say for sure, I gleaned a lot from just hitting with Allesandro. The natural timing and the pace that comes with my shots is what I learned from Allesandro, which is commensurate with the "natural feel" for the ball as it is coming to you. Personally, I refer to it as a type of Zen tennis, that I carry with me throughout. He is a great personal tennis influence for me.
Alessandro and I have been playing tennis for many years together. I highly recommend him to anyone interested in improving their strokes, doing rally sessions, and point play. He gets to the root of what I need to change technically in a relaxed fun way.
Awesome instructor. Approaches lessons in a different manner than standard tennis instructors. He's mindful of any particular physical issues a student may have, and brings a new method to the court, which is challenging and lots of fun! Good for all levels and ages. Would highly recommend Alessandro. He's the best!!
I've known Ali Giangola for nearly 20 years, he's not only a great tennis player and instructor, but a truly great guy. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for the perfect tennis experience. You will definitely come away from a session with Ali feeling better about your tennis and more importantly yourself. Enjoy ! Bill Siegel, former ATP World Ranked Professional Tennis Player
I have worked with Alessandro for the last few years, and through his method I have found effortless power and control in my strokes. I look forward to my lessons each week!
Awesome instructor...brings a different approach to tennis unlike anything I have seen before. I recommend him for any age group.
