About Me
Hello! I love tennis and have been playing and teaching for more than 30 years! I started as a junior in New England and quickly earned a top 20 ranking. I played varsity tennis at Harvard from 1986-1990. I also played varsity field hockey all four years. I started teaching tennis to adults and children when I was just 15 years old, I am a very positive person and I understand that tennis can be a social sport or a tool to take you to the next level, whether that is playing on your high school team, your college team or on the pro tour. I taught clinics and private lessons to children and teens and I taught adult continuing education in Boston.
I played competitive USTA tennis in Southern California for many years, rising to the 5.0 level. I am very energetic, upbeat and fun during our tennis lessons. I don't waste one single minute of your time because I value your time and your money. In addition I won the Bryan Brothers Grand Slam Jam at the Malibu Racquet Club! Let's play!
Teaching Style
I have taught all of my four sons to play competitive tennis and to be successful. Depending on your ability we will start with feeding balls and go through the basics--forehand, backhand, volley, serve and overhead. I will help you with your footwork and strategy too.

She's super nice and patient . I’m a beginner and she’s doing her best to teach me the easiest way.
Lisa has been great! She quickly assessed my strengths and weaknesses on the court and tailored the lessons accordingly. I’ve seen fantastic results and increased confidence after just a few lessons.. Highly recommend her as a coach.
Lisa is such an amazing instructor. In just 4 lessons I have improved my game tremendously. I was a complete beginner but Lisa is so patient she caught me up in no time. She knows exactly how to demonstrate proper form and motivate me to learn the fundamentals. Then when I attempt to execute them she is always encouraging even when I make mistakes. She not only teaches the game in a simple form, she always makes it fun, which is very important to me. I love the game of tennis, and it is a complicated sport but never once did I get discouraged, in fact her enthusiasm and expertise drives me to keep practicing to get better. After each lesson I feel I am getting better at each stroke. I can’t say enough about what a great teacher she is and I highly recommend Lisa!
