About Me

Hello my name is Katie and I’m a local Saint Petersburg tennis coach with over 20 years of playing experience & over 10 years of teaching experience! For three years I worked as an Assistant Women’s Tennis Coach at Loyola Marymount University (Division 1 College) & helped LMU get ranked #55 in the country. I also recruited and worked with Veronica Miroshnicheko, a Top 20 collegiate tennis player who made it to the Sweet 16 in NCAA as well as Eva Voracek who was another Top 50 tennis player. Before coaching at LMU, I was also an Assistant Tennis Director at Fig Garden Swim & Racquet Club organizing USTA JTT local league, coordinating club tennis tournaments and activities, developing junior tennis programs and conducting tennis lessons.

As a collegiate player, I was named All-Big East in 2011 and 2012 and played at #1 singles in each of my final two seasons, reaching as high as #26 in the nation in singles and #12 as a team in the ITA rankings. I am a native of the Republic of Moldova, Vasenina and was a standout tennis player on the European junior circuit, finishing fifth in the Europe/Africa Zone Group III round-robin pool back in 2009.

I offer fun private tennis lessons, semi-private tennis lessons, group tennis lessons and hitting only sessions for all ages (kids, teens, adults, seniors) and all skill levels (beginner, intermediate, advanced). I teach tennis lessons in the St. Petersburg and Tampa area but will travel up to 10 miles to a court that is conveniently located near you.
