About Me

Hi my name is Jack and I believe tennis is the best sport to play for people of all ages or skill levels. I have enjoyed playing tennis since I began playing at the age of 12 with my dad and older brother. After attending nationals two times and a brief professional career I knew I wanted to teach tennis for a living. I was excited to pass on to others the same game I have had the immense pleasure as well as struggles, to compete in and play for years. Players of all ages and skill levels are welcome to sign up for lessons with me. As a coach I am a technician and a tactician. On one hand I have molded state champs from young beginners, but I can also help simplify the game for casual players or even for those who are motor skill challenged. In fact, I have taught levels ranging from special olympians, young and old beginners to national tournament champions. I am not a system coach but I do preach the ability to play all court tennis for it provides you with more options enabling you to win matches.

At the start of every lesson I like to discuss the experience of a player to get a feel for what the client wants to accomplish with the lesson. I start with quick stretch after a little bit of light footwork to warm up. A drill that fits every level is a mini tennis (topspin) drill I call “peel the onion” to help the player get a feel for the ball before we get into the main focus of the lesson. I always evaluate every shot and make quick suggestions, provide demonstrations, while always focusing on the priority of the lesson for the client. And of course, fun is a must!

Student Feedback

Within the first lesson, Jack pinpointed a slew of my technical issues in all aspects of my game. He conveys an understandable teaching method, he is knowledgeable, and proficient. Cannot wait for the lessons to come, pushing me further in my tennis goals. Worth every penny.

Jack is a great tennis instructor because he also works with kids he has several clever ways to help you understand the fundamentals. For instance, to help with a forehand stroke he told me to envision having a beachball I to run the racket around. Thanks to his instruction I have gone from true beginner to being able to actually play in 4 months. I still have a long way to go and look forward to getting much better thanks to Jack's instruction.
