Teaching Style

My teaching style varies according to the player and skill level. I like to make the sessions enjoyable and teach the player many useful skills to improve the game. Usually, I teach grip management, control, consistency, serving techniques, volleying, backhand, forehand, movement on the court, positioning and speed trials. I've trained in the USTA's 10 and Under Tennis Program, and learned useful tactics for player development at young ages. Especially in children, you need to motivate and inspire them so they learn to love the sport. Over the past years, I have trained with high school students, and college players to help them overcome weaknesses in their game. As racquet technology changes, and the rules have been adapted, there is a rich history that can also be taught to players. The more knowledge you have about tennis, the more you grow and develop as a player.

Student Feedback

Dr Jacome is an amazing coach. He makes the sessions fun and learnable. I learned the rules of tennis, proper grip management, endurance, movement and consistency on the court. I'm glad he had patience with me, because at first the ball would always land out. He showed me how to take my time, watch the ball carefully and strike it holding the racquet right. My son also trains with him, he has improved tremendous since starting his training. I highly recommend Dr Jacome for learning tennis and improving your skills. He is very well trained and knowledgeable about the sport.

David has a natural given talent to teach others tennis. He has been playing tennis for the last 8 years. You can see that when he teaches, students are motivated to learn and improve skills. They learn proper grip management, control, and consistency on the court. David has trained me to become a better more consistent player. He is an amazing tennis instructor. Someone reliable, and committed to helping you improve all aspects of the game. Also, David knows a lot of history about how the game has changed, and racquet technology. I highly recommend David to anyone looking for an incredible coach to learn tennis!

David is an excellent tennis instructor! He takes his time to make you learn the basics of tennis. It was my first time playing with a tennis racquet. He was patient and taught me racquet movement, footwork, precision, accuracy techniques, and ways to control the ball. I highly recommend him to anyone who wants to learn or improve their skills in tennis. I must say he's a gentleman and the most talented player I've come across. You will like him. I guarantee it!

David was an amazing instructor. He knows how to teach you the fundamentals well, always gives his best and more time to show you the techniques. I like his patience with me and how he always gives me his full attention. I've noticed his instruction follows the same strategies taught to the professionals, and he does a good job of making sure you improve every shot.

David is very good tennis instructor. I'm happy to write this review for him. He gives me classes twice a week, and has been my coach since January 2016. David is good at explaining the proper techniques to improve your shots on the court. Since I started, my tennis has improved alot. I was a complete beginner and now Im at least a 3.5 player. I highly recommend David. He knows how to teach anyone and I guarantee you will improve.

Amanda E. - August 31, 2016

David is an amazing instructor! He always takes his time to show you the techniques and is professional. I love taking classes with him because you improve every single time. He has been my instructor since 2012. I started as a 2.0 player, and now I'm a 3.5 player moving to 4.0 level. In the 4 years we have trained, he has always been patient, and a great coach. Recently, I introduced him to my husband, who also wants to learn how to play tennis. David is just one of the best instructors in the area! I'm happy to write this referral for him and guarantee you will be happy with his instruction.
