About Me
Hi. My name is Van. In 1977 I was the #1 junior in the world winning Jr. Wimbledon, Jr. US Open, & Jr. Nat’l @ Kalamazoo, Mich. singles & doubles. I reached the Men’s US Open Doubles Finals w/ Fritz Buehning in 1983 against John McEnroe and Peter Fleming and US Open Mixed Doubles Quarter Finals w/ Rayni Fox in 1980. I was on the winning United States Davis Cup Team in 1979.
My ATP Tour World Ranking was top #5 doubles & #30 singles reaching in all two dozen tour finals winning 9 doubles titles & 3 singles titles and 11 doubles runner-ups & 1 singles runner-up. Since retiring from the tour I’ve enjoyed teaching tennis for over 35 years.

Yes, I can travel up to 20 miles to a tennis court in your area.
