Hi ! My name is Valentin but people call me Val. I've started playing tennis when I was only 3-years-old. I fell in love with the game and haven't stopped playing since . As a junior I held the number one spot in my country ( Romania ) in all the age groups ; 10, 12, 14, 16 and 18's. I was recruited and offered full scholarship to high performance tennis clubs such as IMG Nick Bollettieri Academy and Barcelona Total Tennis Academy, places where I went and trained extensively. Before college I tried playing some ITF tournaments and I went from being unranked to top 100 in 1 year, having won matches over people who are now top 20 ATP. In my college career I've won 2 championship titles in 2 different conferences; the Missouri Valley Conference and Big East Conference. I was nominated for MVP 3 times and won 2 Individual Championships at #1 spot. After graduating I worked closely and shared information with some of the best coaches that NY has to offer as I wanted to perfect my teaching style and be able to coach at the highest level possible. I also have a very strong fitness background that can be easily applied to anybody, even outside of tennis (i.e., you just want to get in shape or stay in shape ). I mostly work with high performance juniors but I am very flexible and able to teach absolutely any level regardless if its an individual session or if its a group session.

I have a very adaptive teaching style that will change in accordance to the needs of the student. I am able to diagnose the problem areas of your game and very accurately provide you with a clear and concise concept to make the necessary changes easy to understand and replicate anytime. The lesson structure will be based upon the students level. I am able to run everything from hand-feed to high intensity live ball drills.
Having fun is a priority in my lessons because you will never play good tennis, unless you are having fun out there !
