Hi, my name is Steven. I am a seasoned tennis coach with a proven track record of guiding players to success on and off the court. With years of experience, I bring a deep understanding of the game, coupled with a passion for nurturing talent and fostering a love for tennis.

My coaching approach is centered on personalized development, tailoring my guidance to meet the unique needs and goals of each player. I prioritize a holistic approach, focusing not only on refining technical skills but also on instilling mental resilience, strategic thinking, and sportsmanship.

I have experience with all levels and ages in my coaching abilities and I'm also a great hitting partner.

Teaching Style

I have a tailored approach to lessons that is geared toward the skill level of each client. I am big on communication which helps to manage expectations while also ensuring that individual goals are achieved. I have a casual intensity that is suitable for recreational or competitive players, children and adults of any skill level.

Tailored private lessons may include warm up, agility drills, strokes, volleys, overheads, serving, point construction, strategy and match play. Remember, lessons are tailored and not a one size fits all approach. For those who are new to the game, I will have them playing tennis in the end of first lesson.

For group lessons, I like to follow an "hourglass" format. This starts by telling my students the focus of the class and the skills i'd like to work on. Then, the lesson will start with a warm up and point play drills/games to give players a chance to try the task/skill by themselves. By the middle of the class, I'll feed and offer drills that are a bit more focused on building the skill, and then end the lesson with point play to further practice the skill that we worked on.I look forward to helping clients develop or maintain a life long love for the game.
