About Me

Hi, my name is Michael. I grew up in Albany, New York. Played baseball from Little League through college. Picked up tennis in my 30's. Dropped tennis for golf to play with my Father. Picked it up again about 10 years ago at the local YMCA. Played 3x a week since then, mostly doubles. Took lessons from the pro, regularly engaged in hitting drills, attended a doubles clinic hosted by 24 x major winner Gigi Hernandez. Achieved Level 1 PTR instructor status last year.

Teaching Style

I explain and demonstrate proper warm up; then move to open hitting to observe the student; break for a discussion of overall goals for the day; focus on one or two areas of focus; move to drills or game simulations; summarize and listen to the student evaluate what has happened; then explain cool down and goals for the next session.
