About Me
I'm the Head Instructor at JHPTA, for me tennis all started in my hometown Kalamazoo,MI when I was just a kid. I now play professional tennis and coach. We have new locations in Chicago, Atlanta, NYC, Miami, and LA!
The Johnson High Performance Tennis Academy is focused around improving your game and mental mindset in a fun and relaxed on-court environment while having fun.

The pro tennis world is pretty small, I have met a lot of top players and tennis stars throughout my career like Venus Williams, James Blake, McEnore, more just to name a new and have a strong passion to help grow the game through teaching it.
Teaching Style
I teach The Modern Technique used by my well known professional tennis coach a Oscar Wegner. We use the modern technique of "lifting" to produce topspin with a open-stance and relaxed body frame. A standard lesson will start with stretching, a light jog around the court, then drills and games to improve your game based on what is needed as well as match play.

Lendale is a great coach for anyone looking to take their game to the next level. He has incredible energy and a great personality. Real easy to feel comfortable with. After only 5 lessons with Lendale I noticed a huge difference in my game, both physically, and just as importantly, mentally. There are times in the middle of my matches where I think of advice and strategy we've discussed, and used that advice to adjust & improve my performance in the middle of a match. I've recommended him to my family and friends and they have thanked me, I suppose you can say, we've become "Team Lendale." While there are a lot of tennis instructors out there, Lendale is more than that...he's a real coach.
Easily the best instructor I've ever worked with
I've know Lendale for years, I would recommend him, for anyone trying to excel in tennis. He's a very hard worker and he makes sure that he goes over and beyond to get his clients needs met.
Had a great set of lessons with Lendale. Since I am a first time player, Lendale was very patient in his instructions and took me thoroughly through the basics!

Lenny is a great tennis instructor! He is very encouraging and gives constant feedback throughout the lesson, which has been really helpful for a beginner like me.
