About Me
I was a top 100 player in Southern California for the 16-and-under age group, and I bring that competitive experience to my coaching. I play with a one-handed backhand, but my strength lies in my powerful forehand and my aggressive attacking style. I have a deep love for tennis that keeps me constantly learning and improving, often by studying slow-motion videos of pro players to refine my technique. My passion for the game translates into my teaching, where I strive to share the joy of tennis while helping others reach their full potential.
Teaching Style
I emphasize mastering various spins for both serves and groundstrokes, adapting lessons to your individual strengths. Inspired by Roger Federer and Carlos Alcaraz, I use their styles as role models to improve technique, movement, and mental approach to the game, addressing weaknesses and combining fluidity and explosiveness in play. My teaching style is rooted in a deep understanding of the one-handed backhand, drawing from my personal experience to help others refine this technique. However, for serious competitors, I encourage switching to a two-handed backhand for added stability and versatility. I aim to make each lesson fun and positive, while placing great importance on steady improvement to ensure you enjoy the journey as much as the results.
