Hi, my name is Josh Clark and I'm 20-years-old. I've played 11 years of competitive tennis in Austin, Texas! I trained at the prestigious Austin Tennis Academy, attending their college prep school for three years. I consistently trained six hours a day and played in at least two state-level tournaments per month. I was consistently top 20 in Texas in my age brackets (or brackets older than me, depending on the year) and competed in multiple national and international level tournaments. Throughout my career, I taught kids of all ages at Austin Tennis Academy, whether at evening practices or summer camps. I love interacting with kids, adults, seniors, everyone! I have worked with world-class instructors and have been taught by them how to effectively teach others according to their specific goals. I have a passion for improvement in the game of tennis and the wonderful things it teaches you in life. I'm a big believer in the power of a strong mental game mixed with the ability to have fun! Whatever level you are or wish to achieve, I can help you get there, and make it fun while doing it!

I first get a feel for what the player's goals are in tennis, life, etc. This gives me a good view of how to structure my lessons. If they want to improve groundstrokes, I will do toss drills (bounce toss for more advanced players looking higher difficulty), rally drills with targets, even play against them in drop-hit games or sets. If they need to work on their servers, I have plenty of exercises to improve their serve. I customize my lessons to the student's needs, and if they are unsure of their needs, I am more than happy to structure a lesson according to what I think they need.
