About Me

Hi, my name is Jerry. I am certified with the Professional Tennis Registry and have extensive teaching experience, which includes running Mt. St. Joseph’s Academy tennis courts for five summers, giving private and group lessons as well as tennis parties. I also have a lot of playing experience, partaking in USTA tournaments, the men’s USTA team, as well as the men’s USTA senior team. I sincerely enjoy teaching players of all ages and skill levels, groups as well as private, if they are motivated to get better. Each student is uniquely handled based on needs, strengths, weaknesses and his or her own tennis aspirations. I specialize in teaching serves, the topspin lob and the drop shot.

Indoor hitting has begun for inclement and cold days. I have arrangements with a local indoor club.

Thank you for this opportunity to RAVE about Jerry. His instruction has improved my game on so many levels: more decisive forehands, more aggressive backhands, more positive results after approaching the net - these are just a few things I've noticed about my game thanks to Jerry. I've been playing more and everyone I hit with (people I've been hitting with for years) all have noticed a difference in my attitude and approach toward the game. I was good already (in my head), but Jerry has taken me to another level: far more confidence and success. His instruction is clear and he is ready to work at your level to help you see your own improvement. He works you hard knowing the hard work will improve your ground stokes and rallies AND HE'S RIGHT.

Jerry becomes your friend and that allows you to trust his instruction and his guidance. A wonderful person and a wonderful teacher. Highly recommended to someone who is interested in learning the game, or in improving your game.

If ever a hitting partner is needed - Jerry is the one. If ever potential students would like to see his interaction with a student, let me know I'll be there.
