About Me

Hi, my name is James. Division 1 Player (Boise State) with 23 years of competitive experience, and 10 years of professional coaching experience. Committed to delivering a positive and productive lesson to every student, at any level. For both group and individual lessons, expect your session to be FUN, high-energy, intentional, and successful.

Teaching Style

Clear, encouraging, concise, and useful feedback. I specialize in fundamental, technical, and tactical development, for all levels. My lessons begin with setting of clear intentions led by the student, followed by a quick physical warm up, followed by racquet skills warm up, followed by a brief period in which I observe the student's game as a whole, then we address any areas of improvement in focused drilling, then apply those concepts back into a game-type format, and finish with a recap along with a set of suggestions for further improvement in recreational play.
