Hi, my name is Jacob. I began playing tennis at the age of 14 , making my varsity high school team as a freshman and becoming co-captain. My notable competitive accomplishments include three consecutive Valley Champion titles, two California Classic Tournament titles, four consecutive California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) League Champion titles, Rookie of the Year, Most Improved Player, and Most Valuable Player two years in a row. I am currently studying Physics at the University of California, Irvine. I am a Professional Tennis Registry (PTR) Level 1 certified coach that works with people of all ages. I currently teach at Great Park Tennis Center in Irvine, C.A, as well as assistant coach for the Brymer Lewis Tennis Academy.

In my tennis teaching style, I prioritize a personalized approach where each student sets a clear goal in collaboration with me before delving into any instruction. Whether it's improving their serve, refining their footwork, or mastering a specific technique, I ensure that we are in agreement on what they aim to achieve.

Once the goal is established, I tailor the lessons to cater to the individual's skill level and learning pace. For beginners, I focus on fundamental techniques and basic strategies, gradually building a strong foundation. Intermediate players receive more advanced drills and tactics to enhance their game, while advanced players refine their skills and work on fine-tuning their strategies for competitive play.

Furthermore, I recognize that age can significantly impact a player's development. Younger players may require more emphasis on coordination, basic skills, and having fun while learning. Conversely, older players might need to focus on mobility, flexibility, and strategic play that accommodates their physical abilities.
