About Me

Jackson was named one of the youngest Head High School coaches at age 19 at Valencia High School, where he ended the drought of titles quickly and brought home their first conference title in 6 years by developing the players that were already on the team, there he coached players to win their individual conference tournament and deep into the CIF individual tournament each year, and gave Valencia High School their deepest CIF Division 1 postseason run in program history by getting them to the Quarterfinals at age 20. He also coached most of his starting line up into all conference teams, and into the player of the year locally and regionally.

Jackson has coached many high-level tennis players in his coaching career including NCAA Division I and II players, and created his own High-Performance program called Ascension Tennis where he has coached players to college teams in multiple divisions. Jackson has also coached adults and rapidly increased their level, helping them reach USTA team Sectionals each season. Jackson has worked with all kinds of ages and levels and knows he can help you achieve your goals.

During Jackson's playing career he played up to the number 1 position at 2 colleges, Glendale College and the University of Puget Sound and was recruited to nationally ranked schools. He ended his college playing career at OUAZ. Jackson holds an overall winning record in his college playing career.

Jackson has been college coaching at College of the Canyons, where he coached players to all-conference honors and Jackson is now an Assistant Coach at Whittier College.

Teaching Style

Jackson’s specialty is the rapid development of juniors. He focus on explaining weak points in technique and tactical play in simple terms so that it is understood and applied quickly. He’s also good at helping with players problem solving so that they can spot their errors quickly even when it’s not in a lesson and correct it with ease. He can also go more in-depth with everything as well. Jackson goes above and beyond for his players and would be happy to look at video analysis in his spare time if you would like him to. Jackson also has in depth knowledge about Sports Psychology, as that’s what he loves to study for fun on his free time. The lesson usually consists of short court warm up, feeding drills/live ball play, and serve practice.
