About Me
Hi all, my coaching experience extends over 30 years of coaching and playing. I'm currently the owner and founder of First Serve Tennis HP Academy. I'm married and have one child who is currently a ranked player. I spend 30 to 40 hours a week on the court teaching because it is the one true passion of my mine to teach and pass along my knowledge of tennis to beginners, intermideate players and advanced tournament touring players.
Teaching Style
My teaching style is to build lots of confidence in players and maintain it by instruction of the right grips to use, hitting more balls consistently over the net, keeping it in play. I also spend lots of quality time on focusing on the service part of the game and return of serves. My lesson plan is constructed primarily in a three to five step plan. We start as a true beginner fixing and correcting any mechanical issues, forehands and backhands, footwork, balance and agility. we continue to success and not before step one and two are complete with the speed, early preparation, focus and more attention to the ball. One a balance is established, we work into more the physical, longer rallying, strong conditioning to allow more endurance and stamina. Last, after all is tournament playing, live ball to introduce competitive component introduction.
