About Me
Hi, my name is Bart. I learned to play tennis at age 12, while living at the University of Miami campus, while my father completed his graduate degree. Tennis has been a lifestyle for me, allowing me to feel grounded and physically engaged throughout the years. As a licensed psychotherapist I recommend tennis for the many benefits it can provide, including improved moods, focus, stamina, and social support. I enjoy teaching and interacting with students, as I get to share tennis as an effective life skill, and an integral part of well-being.
Teaching Style
Learning must be fun, as one learns new behaviors and responses. Students learn to become aware of how their attitudes, beliefs, and self- talk can help them make progress in their tennis game. Students are encouraged and coached to simultaneously implement the many techniques associated with effective ground strokes, volleying, and serving.
