About Me

I have been coaching and teaching tennis for the past 30 years. I am a certified professional with United States Professional Tennis Registry in three categories of Adult, Junior Performance and 10 and Under tennis. In 2012, I was named the USPTR teaching professional of California. I was the head coach of the Mission San Jose High School varsity tennis team from 2011 to 2013. During that time the team was the Mission Valley Athletic League champion for all three years, and reached the Northern California Section semi-finals twice. Over the years, I have been fortunate to see a number of my students achieve success in high school, college, and satellite-level tennis.

Teaching Style

I emphasize the basics of any athletic endeavor which includes the concepts of balance, leverage, and vision and how it relates to the sport the tennis.
