Hi, my name is Anru, I am from South Africa, a lovely small country right at the bottom of Africa. Well, at least we like to think so.

I got introduced to the sport of Tennis at an early age, I quickly found my love and passion for the sport and competed throughout my junior career locally (SA), and internationally. I played professional tennis on the ATP Circuit at the age of 16 and got to a career 1100 in the world and secured a doubles ranking of 700 in the world before going to college. I also received numerous awards for best player of the year, a MVP and also received the opportunity to serve as a hitting partner for World number one Caroline Wozniacki.

I started teaching Tennis at the JL Tennis Academy in South Africa, a top junior development program that produces top Nationally ranked kids. Not long after that I decided to come to the United States to continue pursuing my career after I received a full Tennis scholarship at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

After I received my Bachelors of Science I started working in Philadelphia at HPTA where I helped produce kids that were top 50 in the nation. Not long after that I started working at Tokeneke club in Darien as Head pro when I received the opportunity to work for Tennis Connecticut as Director of high performance.
During that time I started working with a private family based in Wellington FL, since then his raking went up from a 1 star to a 5 start recruit and was named number one in Connecticut.

Each lesson is structured specifically to the client, with a focus on fundamentals, balance and comfortability. I am a big believer in meeting each other halfway, 50/50 seals the deal.
